Beginning her legal career as a prosecutor in Jacksonville, Joni Poitier tried to verdict more than 30 jury trials. She brought this litigation experience with her into private practice, defending the firm’s clients in civil actions ranging from automobile negligence actions to complex class action litigation.
During her law school years at Vanderbilt, Ms. Poitier’s contributions to several clubs and organizations earned her the Damali K. Booker Award for legal activism. Today, she is active in her church and many local civic and charitable organizations. She currently serves on the board of directors for Family Foundations of Northeast Florida, Inc. Ms. Poitier is a native Floridian who grew up in Miami.
